Choose the file that matches how you want to work. Each template page shows its fields and a fictional example before you download. You can download without creating an account. The files are general organizers, so check any format required by the organization receiving your completed document.

Download and start with a working copy
- Open the template page and compare the actual fields with your task. The preview shows the blank layout; the page also explains the worked example.
- Select the format you need. Check your browser’s downloads list if the file does not open automatically.
- Keep an untouched download and make a separate working copy. Use a name that identifies the task, period and version, such as Quote-Q-011-2026-11-05.xlsx.
- Replace the fictional example with your own information in the blank copy. Do not send the example or guide as if it were part of your completed record.
Work in Excel
The blank, continuation and example sheets are separate. Choose the blank sheet before entering your information. A quotation calculates line amounts, while an ordinary activity record has no built-in calculations. The template page states the relevant behavior; do not assume every workbook calculates totals.
If you add rows, move cells or change a layout, check any formula ranges. A number typed as text may not be included in a calculation. Use one currency and consistent units, and compare a small result with your own arithmetic before relying on a total. Keep the original file available if you accidentally overwrite a formula.
We supply XLSX files. We have not verified every edition of Excel, every spreadsheet application or every operating system. If another app changes the layout, compare its print preview with the PDF preview and use the PDF when you need the supplied printable arrangement.
Work in downloaded HTML
- Open the downloaded HTML file in a modern browser. Enter your details in the blank record.
- Use Save edited copy to download a copy containing your current entries. Keep it in a location you can find.
- Open the saved copy to check that your entries remain present. Closing or refreshing the unsaved original can lose changes.
- Use Print / Save PDF when you need a printable copy, and review the print preview before saving or printing.
The downloaded HTML file works locally. Its editing buttons do not send your entries to SimpleFormKit. A saved file can contain the private information you entered, so review it before sharing. PDF and HTML editions do not calculate totals.
Print the pages you actually need
English PDFs use US Letter. Check the paper size in the print dialog and preview the result if your printer uses another size. Print your completed blank pages and only the continuation pages you used. Leave out fictional examples and guidance when handing over a finished document.
If text is cut off in Excel or browser printing, review page orientation, scaling and margins. Do not shrink the page until the writing becomes unreadable. The supplied PDF is a useful comparison for the intended layout.
When a download does not work
- No file appears: check the browser’s downloads list and whether it reports a blocked or interrupted download. Return to the actual template page and try its download button again.
- A file is empty or does not open: keep the original download intact and try a fresh copy. Report the template page, format and app used; do not send a completed private form.
- A link opens an error: tell us the exact public template URL and the selected format so we can check the same route.
- Your entries disappeared: look for the saved working copy. The website cannot recover entries from an unsaved local HTML file.
